Building a XULRunner app with just JS and HTML apparently requires the Mozilla source tree, which requires Mercurial, which fails on install
Searching the Mercurial website for the Python error I'm getting tells me I'm using an "invalid search". What a mess...
Turns out that the Mercurial failure is a Python bug. Who cares about Python? Can I get back to shipping my app now?
The thing called mozilla-build in Mozilla's Mercurial repository? It's not what you need to build Mozilla.
By and large the Mozilla ecosystem is such a clusterfrolic of misdirections that it feels a lot like developing for mobile platforms.
