It would be better than nothing, for sure. But a remaining concern is openness: if the team isn't coding to the open Web from the get go what are the odds in can get the data I put in there back out in a usable format later? Data is harder than code!

Font get me wrong, I've done startups, going after big changes in entrenched worlds, I know it's hard. But still! Does this mean you have a Chrome monoculture internally? Aren't you concerned this separates you from real users?
