I saw that same paragraph and it seems at best specious to me. Keeping two weeks' worth of logs for access to personal data by third parties isn't privacy by design at all, it's really poor data protection.

I don't want to speculate malice but "we just happened to find a problem similar to Cambridge Analytica right after that story broke" and "because we love privacy we have no logs of external access" are some really neat coincidences 😏
