The @CNIL drops a 50M fine on Google. It does not seem like much but they can keep doing it if Google doesn't change, as can other European countries. Once more the problem revolves around the opacity of behavioural targeting in advertising and improper consent.

Consent for behavioural profiling and targeting is simple: if it is properly informed and affirmative then a large majority of users should be declining.
