I know, but nothing keeps them from updating it to match ITP restrictions, and yet they choose not to. The end result is highly invasive tracking for the majority of users while differentially demonetising the web in favour of their fiefdom.

Is it better than Google? Of course. But IMHO it's still largely privacy theatre - transparency and choice - that just so happens to further their anticompetitive practices. I'm not surprised that would earn them distrust?
