Not at all! I don't care who uses it, and it wouldn't matter if YouTube were operated by a humanitarian commune in the Amazon. What matters is outcomes. It's not "YouTube bias". YouTube is known to damage society. This makes it stronger.

The times when we made APIs without considering their impact is long gone. I'm sure that Google engineers cover this in ethical training just like everyone else.

Now, as I told @mounirlamouri, I think this could be solved with a tie-in to policy. For sites with more than n million users, only expose this if they are following a set of best practices audited by a trustworthy third party.
