I've lived here twice, once two years in the late 90s, and since five years ago. From memory I lost at least three pieces last year, and postcards seem to have a success rate of 50%. I've lived in a few other countries and here's the first time I've worried about this.

My bias is in general very much pro public service, but from a data standpoint it's pretty unlikely that I'd be this unlucky, and I can't see confounders. But I'm happy to see it's not universal, in fact I'm happy if there's less to fix than I thought!
