I haven't said anything bad about web vitals? The whole time that AMP has existed we've all asked for web vitals and the shut down of AMP. Google promised it so many times it's a common joke. Even people on the AMP AC laugh at it.

But instead we're getting web vitals and something that renders them useless. So who cares about intent? This is just the usual Google hurting the web and patting itself on the back that it meant well.
