Of course. This is essentially a comment on observed outcomes more than on mental states. I think it might also trace back to company organisation. It's likely imperfect info (from a Google recruiter) but the User Trust org seemed built more around making users trust...
... Google than about Google trustworthiness. Again, it may be imperfect (though it wasn't the only red flag) but it jumped at me because it's the literal opposite of the approach I've been pursuing. You can see how that could add up, with the best intent of smart folks?
