Interesting! I’d love to hear more. I agree that ethical certification wouldn’t mean much. The reason I’m thinking about pen-testing is because I’m interested in the “we’re trying to break this” mindset. “We tried to use this for evil, and here are the five ways we found.”

The people I work with tend to be quite ethical, so I sort of want to bring in a criminal mastermind who can see how our tools could be used for evil — so that we can then plug holes in the process.

I try to be that criminal mastermind (my team sometimes introduces itself as “we think about adversarial dystopias so you don’t have to”) but I know that someone who does that professionally would do it much better!
