Location data is some of the most dangerous and sensitive data to have. If you're not sure whether Google can be trusted with data or not, I highly recommend that you read this thread. My favourite part is when Google engineers can't figure out how not to be tracked 😂

This is instructive when compared with how Chrome Sync operates. It's another highly sensitive data set, and judging from how location is treated I fear for Chrome users. Also, you can see exactly how the deceptive tricks to get users to share and then be stuck there are made.
