Thank you! Some quick background: I work here on an E3, wife & daughters had to visit family in France. I can extend locally but they can't come back without renewing their E3D. I have an appointment in Paris in April 2022 and have filed for expedited but no news after 2 weeks.

I have a letter from NYT backing me up that I believe meets all the requirements for an NIE. But it's hard to figure out: 1) Which consulates will process non-residents. Many restrict to those, but few are clear. 2) What the wait times are. travel.state.gov/content/travel… is often wrong.

And 3) How to get information on expedited requests. They say replying could take weeks, and also that when they deny they might simply not answer at all… I've just been emailing consulates all over. Any help would be greatly appreciated — thanks again!
