I agree with Alex, I think people feel powerless and disenfranchised more than they feel unsafe here. I reckon the unsafe part can be handled with "Look, there's a tweet from Michael Kleber openly seeking feedback." I think we can make that part work.

The harder part at this stage is IMHO that the idea that they would be listened to is quite counterintuitive. I've been on a bit of a continuous road show to get people to speak up, and I think Alex too. It's getting better? I feel we could get a decent group's input.
