Yeah, I'll admit I ran out of steam around 5k words… I have another post on commons teed up, I think it might help explain domains and polycentricity. Or we need a whiteboard. Re funding you're totally right, but I think the core point is there.

Basically, today, if you go to potential funders they will decline citing that it's a member org dominated by big tech (whether that's actually what @cwilso, @hober, etc. do is irrelevant for this purpose). But there *is* money and people *are* interested in funding.
