The feedback on my sketch for reformed W3C governance has been very encouraging so far. In response to some of it, I have made a few changes to the proposal which I call out in the thread below. berjon.com/w3c-governance/

Several people asked if it was modelled after the IETF. Not intentionally so, but some of the people I have spoken with are close to that and it was a very clear influence, which I now note. The IETF has shown that community governance works and is fundable.

asked for more information about the participation of public or governmental organisations. I added a fair amount of detail to the Regulatory Recommendations section. I notably think that we should collaborate with DPAs more to make privacy regulation work better.

helpfully pointed out that the @W3CAB has already been advocating a values-based approach. I've added a note pointing to that and also explaining why it's not the approach that I would recommend.

correctly noted that it's short on funding and domains. A lot of the meat on these is in governance of specific areas, for which blog posts are coming. I added a note to indicate that there is more and that it will address those parts better.
