Yes! But I don't think that we can develop a good privacy discussion before the security issue is addressed. There's a host of decisions to make about what the UA and 1P should be allowed to do but it's hard to have them because today there aren't really options.

The privacy discussion becomes a lot more practical once it rides on decisions made by parties that people can readily identify. I can't share numbers but I'm confident that our readers are comfortable with things if *we* do it instead of 3Ps.

If we could have a trustworthy (because purpose-limited) supply chain, that trust could become transitive. Getting to a place where being trustworthy is a competitive advantage for a 1P is a really nice outcome, and changes the privacy discussion IMHO.
