The whole point of having a standards community and process in order to make decisions by consensus is precisely to avoid having one guy who thinks he alone has found the right balance calling the shots for everyone. But, and I mean this, I appreciate the honesty.

I certainly have a lot more respect for what you just said than for all the lip service about caring about standards that seems to only really matter when it's Apple doing something.
