Note that my original point wasn't that we should get rid of notices. It was that, given widespread knowledge not only that they don't work but that they induce false beliefs in data subjects, relying solely on classic notices for data processing should be deemed deceptive.

On the question of transparency, I think that we should shift from transparency for people to transparency for research & investigation, ie. discoverable, machine-readable, etc. Simplifying collective action at scale has potential IMHO.
