On mobile, browsers do not keep loaded tabs available. I would like to just click on links and read them while travelling.

Instead, I have to use an app. Reading Mode sort of half-assed approaches the issue but with a different CSS and it keep scrolling…

…the context. The thing where the tab count gets set to infinity when it’s over 99 is also pretty annoying.

Bookmarks are pretty useless. Instead of trying have a hierarchy, which is always painful, they could full-text index content.

And then allow for search.

I also want to be able to make a tab (or window) appear separately in the Cmd-tab thing. Otherwise webapps are just a lost tab.

Just fixing those would be a great start. I wandered around Bugzilla looking for some of this stuff, but it just made me depressed.

Eg the reading list scrolling thing was made to depend on some future sync improvement, then apparently reading list was no longer…

…important and it was WONTFIXed. I would switch back to Android Chrome except it randomly loses tabs, so that’s a no go.

Anyway, I could rant for a while :) I’ve largely given up on reading longform much in browsers, and certainly on web apps though…

…I do have perhaps unfounded hope that the manifest stuff will come through and fix that last bit.
