I think there may be an interesting distinction to explore between "sins of intent" and "sins of ignorance" (so to speak).

When I was young and stupid I honestly thought tech was meritocratic because I knew fuck all yet made my way in.

It was only after a while that I started noticing that things were really not at all that simple.

The distinction excuses nothing, but strategies differ. I can think of ways to reach out to ignorance: maintain the signal.

Deliberate racism? I don't know how to fix that other than by excluding perpetrators.
