Someone at @googlemaps thought it was a good idea to enable random strangers to request your location. By default. How is it even possible, in such a high-profile app, with such high-sensitivity data, that no one thought this could possibly go wrong?

Lindsey wouldn’t fall for it because she understands privacy and technology. But how many people out there are being stalked as we speak because they had no idea what to do with the notification?
