I'm familiar with the @EFF's position on 230, I read the amicus they filed in the Herrick v Grindr case in which they defended Grindr's complete denial of responsibility in enabling serious, life-threatening harassment even though Grindr's competitors moderated effectively.

I thought that @EPICprivacy's position was much more in line with holding profit and power to account and much less "ZOMFG! 230 is like 1A that farts unicorns!!" epic.org/amicus/230/gri…

We've moved on from dialing each other's modems, it's not crazy the law would too. There are plenty of useful moderation experiments compatible with distributor responsibilities, they might even fare better if they weren't outcompeted for price by the don't-give-a-fuck phalanx.
