I don't see why you wouldn't be cool enough to hang! Thanks for the details and transparency. They largely match my expectations from what I know of the goals of SXG. The reason we need a blend of tech and nontech measures is because Google has a history of bait-n-switch.

Note: I'm not at all accusing you of this, just pointing out that it wouldn't be rational to go on trust alone. There's a classic example in berjon.com/google-cma/, to give you a sense.

The technical measures you describe, together with binding commitments, could well be a solution, so there's hope!

Oh, and also I pointed at Garuda because it's the thing that I happen to be working on right now and it's similar. I don't mean to imply that this specific approach is the one.
