In the talk (and I presume in the book too) Ari made the case that we can't rely on people beating the system at every turn, even if supported by stronger privacy regimes when these still expect traditional approaches to compliance. I think he's right.

I am lucky to benefit from real support and resources where I am, but it's still uphill every way. Everything from software defaults to how the internet works is part of the problem. We need to find radical change.
