Google is defunding the entire ad-based ecosystem and forcing people to develop their sites twice, just to be in search results. The web needs to be financially viable more than it needs another Blinkenlights API.

What's more, Chrome continues to hold privacy back, to use Sync to capture everyone's data and the audiences of competitors, to integrate with their SSO... It's a key part of Google's play for supremacy. We're better off with fewer features than with a Google NOBO Web.
