If you are considering the world inside, you are perceiving yourself from the outside looking, in a sense investigating your structure from a perspective that doesn't exist, detached from yourself. It seems likely to be deceptive.
Conversely, by considering the world as you observe it, from your situated, immanent perspective (which is a perspective that exists), you can understand your relative position in the world and therefore yourself.
