Do you have good articles on political/militant/activist objects? My wife is starting to poke at the subject in curation grad school and is curious for input. I unearthed a few treasures I love, sharing them here! 🧵

This is purportedly a can of French goose fat. In fact, it contains thousands of loose leaf bible paper samizdats. French trotskyists (LCR) printed these (on their press) & exported them to Poland during the dictatorship. I can't believe they made the brand "Rougie" (Reddened).

This is a snow globe of the Sydney Opera House with "NO WAR" painted in red on one of the sails. It was sold to raise money for the cleanup fund of the activists who painted the same on the real Opera House to protest the invasion of Iraq. (A present from @anaisrassat!)

And this is an MLF button I found at the bottom of my mother's jewellery box after she passed. It's undated, but given that she was particularly active as a trotskyist and feminist right when the MLF was founded, it's probably an early one.
