That is undeniable. I don't know what I'm going to do after I move.
As closing arguments of the Google Search trial proceed, there are two things I would like to flag.
First, the way in which search works on the web is stuck in the 90s. We need not stay there and can imagine alternatives (that aren't crappy AI): berjon.com/fixing-search/.

And second, the default slot and royalties deals have a dreadful effect on competition, the web, and society, but some of the money levied that way is deployed usefully and we should preserve that.

And interoperability (alone) is incapable of producing that. That's why platforms keep insisting that SDOs stick to "voluntary" (i.e. market based) standards. We need to transition to better mechanisms (at least, those of us who dislike authoritarian options should!).

Cristina: the context you might not have is that Tim is working for a client who believes that keeping things the way they have been for the past ~25 years will somehow lead to competitive digital markets. It requires a lot of creative misunderstanding to formulate, as seen here.

Does it make sense to govern all of AI in a unified manner? It would seem better to have all kinds of domain-specific bodies plus infrastructural bodies.
