I think that @VitalikButerin's question is actually valid, and I'm not sure that it implies the equivalence of all media, perhaps the opposite. (I also think that @molly0xFFF's take is unfair.) See

Isn't the problem here the underlying assumption that there is a one-size-fits-all way to learn? It takes me tremendous feats of focus that leave me drained to listen to any podcast episode to the, I think I've only managed twice. Yet they clearly work for many.

"If it is virtuous to do x, is it equally virtuous to do y, which bears some striking resemblance to x?" strikes me as a legitimate question. If someone cannot deal with writing (like I can't deal with audio), asking for alternatives isn't treating all media as equivalent.
